JACK GOODALL: Having released three solo albums and a collaboration with THE KICK, Goodall is making new and frequently funky music with virtuoso musicians in Birmingham. He studied and played with bluesmen Ian Siegal and Aynsley Lister, and afrobeat star Dele Sosimi, which he now channels into his own idiosyncratic music and performance style. 2025 will see the release of new album ‘Ort’, after the now sadly defunct arts cafe in Birmingham where so many friendships and artistic ventures began. The album forges ahead with infectious afrobeat while also delving into sounds influenced by artists ranging from Fela Kuti to Curtis Mayfield, the Eurythmics and John Cale. “Beautiful music, I love it” - Guy Garvey. DUSTY CUT: Cardiff music project of award-winning writer Phil Jones & band, crafting songs about friendships and loves gained and lost, fights in restaurants, Scottish islands and the sea. A warm sound that incorporates moody folk, 70s rock and a hint of strangeness inspired by eccentrics like Gruff Rhys, Arthur Russell and Big Thief. "Big candy floss cushions for the ears" - Adam Walton. Dusty Cut Bandcamp, Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube
LOAFUS: From the Llynfi Valley, Loafus offers a psychedelic resting place for those who wander off the road well travelled. Carried by grungy discordant guitar riffs, oafish basslines and a soulful voice, Loafus music is a dreamy soundscape, a unique mix of genres inspired by many different artists and styles.
